The Hand of God represents an attempt to compare the art of sculpting with the divine gift of creation itself. It depicts a right hand, emerging from the earth, – a foetal Adam and Eve – are being modeled. The work takes from the idea that the representation of parts of the body (such as hands) can convey meaning in themselves, leaving something to the imagination of the beholder.
